When I stumbled upon Radio Recruitment night for 91.7 FM WICB, I didn’t expect it to lead me towards a way to creatively share and produce crucial journalism.
From 2019-2020, I served as the News Director for WICB. I produced over 40 hours of live news for WICB — overseeing a staff of 50+ newscasters and reporters, producing a weekly hour long news podcast, and introduced a new daily podcast for local news coverage.

The root of my love for audio journalism is the capacity it has for storytelling. I have told some stories that have not only made me a better journalist, but a better person. It’s not always the easiest job, but it is deeply fulfilling when you get a story right.
